Chris Neston

Personal Wealth Manager

On the surface, Wealth Management can be a bit intimidating, a bit confusing, and at times somewhat complicated.  Chris has been blessed with the ability to take what is complicated, break it down to a simpler form (bite size pieces), and deliver the message by using analogies.  His clients appreciate this form of communication, where many of them feel more confident walking out the door than when they first walked in, resulting in a better understanding of where they're at, where they're going and how they’re going to  get there.  A Financial travel agent if you will.

Faith, Family, Fitness and Finance. These are the ‘Four F’s’ Chris strives to live by.  He and his wife Tamara have been blessed with three adult children (self sufficient-PTL!) and two extremely precious granddaughter’s (Sydney and Abigale).  Away from the office you might find them attending or volunteering at church, where they are members of Eagle Brook Church (Lino Lakes campus).  As native Minnesotan’s, the lake is their favorite place to escape, enjoying what midwest living has to offer: Pontoon rides, BBQ’s and bonfires, golfing, cards, fishing and fellowship.

Philanthropically speaking, Chris and Tamara have supported several non-profit organizations such as: World vision, Campus crusade for Christ, Navigators group, MN adult and teen challenge, Christ satisfies ministries and Venture (Investing for good).

Chris launched his Financial Service career in 1996, where he spent many an evening at kitchen tables, educating young families, and assisting them on how to get started along their financial journey.  Mid career, Chris and his associates conducted numerous educational seminars throughout the Twin Cities, with a focus on boomers and retirees and the challenges of retirement income distribution planning.  Presently and for the past decade or so, Chris’s practice has incorporated non-traditional investments, such as private equity and private debt, with the objective of adding diversification to his clients portfolios, which one might describe as an endowment model approach to portfolio management.

From his humble beginnings of mutual funds and life insurance, to today, where his practice is a bit more sophisticated, Chris has never lost sight of what is most important to him and that is relationships.  Whether it’s business, or friends and family, relationships are what it is all about.  Solid relationships built on a shared belief in honesty, integrity, vulnerability and selflessness.  “Be more interested than interesting’' is one of Chris’s favorite sayings and what he tries to emulate everyday.  From his colleagues to his clients, Chris’s experience, attention to detail, communication skills and genuine care for his clients is what sets him apart.

Finally, the boring stuff.  Chris is licensed in 13  states, and holds several securities licenses: Series 6 and 63, series 22 and 65 and series 7.  From simple to complex, approaching his third decade in the industry, Chris feels most confident in his ability to assist those along their financial journey and feels blessed and honored to do so.
